After months of workgroup meetings, we expect bills to be introduced in the coming weeks and a House Oversight Committee hearing has been tentatively scheduled for September 28. MMA has worked to secure language to address employer frustrations with imposter claims, unemployment fraud and Section 20a Noncompliance Determinations.

The latter topic is addressed in a news article from Gongwer News Service. We have also worked to mitigate and block proposals from claimant advocates and the Agency that would increase employer costs or disrupt the delicate balance of the employer-employee relationship.
