Each year, MMA honors legislators and manufacturers who have worked to make Michigan a better place to do business with the John G. Thodis Michigan Manufacturer of the Year Award and the Legislator and Advocate of the Year Award programs.
The John G. Thodis Michigan Manufacturer of the Year Award program is dedicated to publicly honoring individuals involved in manufacturing who make a positive impact on the industry and their communities. The awards program seeks to recognize Michigan manufacturers’ exemplary contributions. The awardees will be recognized during Michigan Manufacturing Week at the MMA Manufacturing Forum.
Annually, MMA bestows its Legislator of the Year Awards to Michigan policymakers who have supported the manufacturing industry. The MMA Government Affairs Advisory Committee chooses recipients who are presented their awards during the Legislative Reception at the MMA headquarters in Lansing.
The Manufacturing Talent Champion recognizes non-manufacturers who have worked to facilitate a partnership with industry to solve Michigan’s talent crisis. The Champion is recognized at the Manufacturing Talent Summit in the fall.
