MMA Event Policies

MMA is committed to providing a safe, productive and welcoming environment for all meeting participants and MMA staff. All participants, including but not limited to, attendees, speakers, volunteers, exhibitors, MMA staff, service providers and others, are expected to abide by the Meeting Policies and Virtual Programs Code of Conduct which apply to all MMA meeting-related events, including those sponsored by organizations other than MMA but held in conjunction with MMA events, in public or private facilities and/or public or private platforms.

Cancelation Policy

Cancelations must be received in writing at least 10 business days prior to the event to receive a full refund after a $25 administrative charge. Cancelations not received in writing by the date required will not be eligible for a refund. No-shows will not be refunded. Substitutions within a given event are gladly accepted. A substitution of full registration is permitted prior to an event by submitting a written request to maciejewski@mimfg.org.

With notice, MMA reserves the right to reschedule or change locations or speakers for an event at any time, including situations beyond our control. Upon the change, registrants will receive the opportunity to participate on the rescheduled date or new location or request a full refund. The total amount of any liability of MMA will be limited to a refund of the attendee’s registration fee.

Virtual Event Provisions

If a technical failure at the attendee’s home or workplace prevents access to the virtual event, the attendee will not be given a refund. It is the responsibility of the attendee to confirm system requirements and test their computers prior to the start of the virtual event. However, if a technical failure is the fault of MMA’s service provider and the virtual event is canceled, a full refund will be provided.

If you are unable to attend the virtual event, information on how to access program recordings, materials and features of the virtual event will be provided to all registrants. Registrants who fail to attend the event, in part or in whole, are not eligible for a refund or credit and will be billed for any balance due.

Consent

Photo/Video Recording Release
Registration and attendance at, or participation in, MMA meetings and other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to the use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee’s image or voice in photographs, video, electronic reproductions and audio of such events and activities by MMA. Your registration may include technology that monitors your activities throughout the meeting, such as session attendance.

Behavior Expectations

MMA has zero-tolerance for any form of discrimination or harassment, including but not limited to sexual harassment by participants or staff. If you experience harassment or hear of any incidents of unacceptable behavior, MMA asks that you inform John Walsh, MMA President and CEO, so that we may take the appropriate action.

MMA reserves the right to take any action deemed necessary and appropriate, including immediate removal from the meeting without warning or refund, in response to any incident of unacceptable behavior. MMA reserves the right to prohibit attendance at any future meeting, virtual or in person.

Responsible Drinking

At some MMA events, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are served. MMA expects participants at our events to drink responsibly. MMA and meeting host event staff have the right to deny service to participants for any reason and may require a participant to leave the event.
