OSHA Delays Electronic Injury and Illness Reporting Rule

Federal OSHA has announced a delay in the rule promulgated by the Obama Administration that would require employers to electronically submit employee injury and illness data (Form 300A) for publication on OSHA's website. Initially the deadline for submission was July 1, 2017, but due to a delay in finalizing the electronic reporting system, submission of this data will not be required until December 1, 2017.

OSHA has also indicated their intention to issue a separate proposal to reconsider, revise or remove provisions of the Injury and Illness Reporting rule. MMA will provide information on that proposal once it is issued.
