Top 10 2025 Coolest Thing Made in Michigan Nominees Announced

LANSING (Sept. 18, 2025) — The Michigan Manufacturers Association (MMA) has officially announced this year’s Top 10 Coolest Thing Made in Michigan nominees, after thousands of votes were cast during round 1 of people's choice voting. This year’s Top 10 nominees highlight the innovation, creativity and craftsmanship that define Michigan’s manufacturing sector.

Part of MMA’s annual celebration of the industry, the Coolest Thing Made in Michigan program shines a spotlight on the remarkable products and people driving Michigan’s manufacturing legacy forward. 

The 2025 Coolest Thing Made in Michigan Top 10 nominees are:

• InfernoWare Dissipate Coating — InfernoWare, Ann Arbor
• LED Signs and Lighting — Electro-Matic Visual, Farmington Hills
• PF1000 Prime Focus System — Observable Space, Adrian
• Pioneer Sugar — Michigan Sugar Company, Bay City, Caro, Croswell, & Sebewaing
• Simple Vision Engineering Suite — Simple Vision Technology, LLC, Clarkston 
• Wind Tunnel for Flying Bats — Airflow Sciences Corporation, Livonia

The Coolest Thing Made in Michigan competition calls attention to the impressive products being made by creative thinkers and doers right here in the Great Lakes State. And, because these products impact more than just manufacturers, the Association is giving everyone in Michigan the opportunity to vote for their favorites. 

“The Coolest Thing Made in Michigan showcases the imagination, ingenuity and impact of products made across every corner of our state,” said Delaney McKinley, MMA Executive Vice President of Operations. “We’re looking for the products born of bold ideas and breakthrough innovation that make Michigan a leader in modern manufacturing.” 

Round 2 of voting, open from Monday, Sept. 22, 2025 through Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025 will determine the Top Three finalists, with the winner of the Coolest Thing Made in Michigan announced live during the Manufacturing Excellence Awards gala on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025 in Lansing.
