Forty percent of all workplace fatalities involve the use of drugs or alcohol. Michigan manufacturers face new risks and liabilities relating to the use and abuse of legal and illegal drugs in the workplace. Attend an upcoming critical training session, provided by MMA’s MFG Works Partners provider MTMIC and Allied Safety Consultants, to discover what manufacturing supervisors need to know, including:

  • Specimen collection procedures
  • Lab process
  • Medical review process
  • Signs and symptoms of alcohol and drug use and abuse
  • Approaching an employee
  • Handling sensitive scenarios
  • Proper Documentation

This course satisfies the U.S. Department of Transportation training requirements. Space is limited; register early.

Lori Schuck Barresi is an expert on drug and alcohol testing. She has worked in the field of occupational health since 1987 as a sales and operations director for multiple health centers. In 2002, Lori opened a Third Party Administrator of drug testing programs until 2017 which served over 1,500 businesses consisting of manufacturers and transportation companies in 48 states. She currently serves as an expert witness in unemployment hearings and litigation cases.

As the owner of Allied Safety Consultants, Lori provides customized substance abuse policy development as well as Reasonable Suspicion Training certification for supervisors. She has been providing Reasonable Suspicion Training certifications for over 25 years to thousands of supervisors from hundreds of companies nationwide.
