Michigan Manufacturers Recognize Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center’s Jeremy Bockelman as 2018 MFG Emerging Leader

The Michigan Manufacturers Association (MMA) is proud to announce Jeremy Bockelman, regional director of the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center (The Center), as the recipient of the 2018 MFG Emerging Leader Award. The MFG Emerging Leader Award is given to an individual who has contributed exceptionally to the industry over the last decade and who has limitless potential as a manufacturing leader moving forward. Mr. Bockelman will receive the award during the 2018 MFG Excellence Awards on November 8 at the Kellogg Center in East Lansing.

Jeremy Bockelman was selected by an independent panel of judges for how he pours 100 percent of his passion and energy into benefitting regional manufacturing and takes every opportunity to support the industry.

“For almost a decade, Jeremy has served the manufacturing community by being a trusted advisor and by building key resources that provide great benefits to manufacturers,” says Chuck Hadden, MMA president & CEO. “Anyone who knows Jeremy recognizes he always wants to do what is right and puts his team before himself. It is this dedication to ensuring everyone else is cared for that makes him such a great leader.”

The MFG Excellence Awards is a one-of-a-kind gala event promoting manufacturing’s most inspiring people, companies and products as well as the inspiring stories which have made Michigan the global hub for the industry. Now in its second year, the inaugural MFG Excellence Awards received the Michigan Society of Association Executive’s (MSAE) Diamond Award recognizing it as the top association event in Michigan.

In addition to presenting Jeremy Bockelman with the MFG Emerging Leader Award, the MFG Excellence Awards will also present awards for Lifetime Achievement, Community Impact, Innovation Excellence, Talent Champion and the John G. Thodis Michigan Manufacturer of the Year Award — an industry staple since 1981. The winner of the “Coolest Thing Made in Michigan” People’s Choice Award will also be presented following a months-long social media voting process hosted by MLive.

For more information on the 2018 MFG Excellence Awards, contact MMA’s Sarah Martin at 517-487-8521 or martin@mimfg.org.
