In the year that I’ve had the privilege to lead the MMA, we experienced unforeseen and unimaginable changes across the world. I’m proud to say that our team swiftly and effectively adapted to meet our members’ increasing and changing needs.
Today, I’m pleased to announce significant changes that are planned to improve our member communications and to provide even greater value for members and the industry.
The events of the past year required unprecedented levels of communication to members, forcing rapid, consistent and concise messaging. We learned from those efforts, and we’re retooling to increase our delivery, relevance and timeliness on an ongoing basis.
An internal reorganization started in April 2020 allowed us to align resources with member needs. We’re complementing our efforts in 2021, leveraging our internal efforts with external expertise to reimagine and expand our communications.
Our focus in this endeavor is to increase the size and intensity of the light we shine on the manufacturing industry in Michigan by showcasing the broad diversity of our members, large and small, and the important impact they have in our community and the world.
Building on the foundation started in 2020, we will expand our reach through utilization of our improved website, the creation of a blog on industry news and insights and increased social media engagement.
In addition, we continue to elevate the content and look of MiMfg Magazine, focusing on six print issues published every other month and the continuous push of digital content through the year.
We’ll use engaging storytelling to highlight the people, processes and technology leading the industry forward. This will allow us to raise awareness, increase the influence of the industry and provide greater exposure for our members.
We are truly grateful for your membership and ask that you stay engaged throughout the coming year and share your candid feedback about these changes.
