LANSING (Sep. 6, 2024) — Thousands of 2024 Coolest Thing Made in Michigan voters have spoken. With an innovative and diverse field of nominees and the first round of voting complete, the Michigan Manufacturers Association (MMA) is proud to announce the Top 10 finalists in the Coolest Thing Made in Michigan competition. The second phase of voting begins on Monday, Sep. 9, 2024. 

Spearheaded by the MMA, this people’s choice award stands as a cornerstone of the annual Manufacturing Excellence Awards celebration dedicated to honoring the exceptional leaders, companies and products of Michigan’s manufacturing industry. 

The 2024 Coolest Thing Made in Michigan nominees are:

• Cold Storage Evaporator - DENSO, Battle Creek
• CPC24 Cocktail Prep Cooler - Glastender Inc., Saginaw

• HM6420 Horizontal Grinder - Bandit Industries, Inc., Remus
• Radio Telemetry Systems - IR Telemetrics, Hancock
• Skilcraft Platinum Six-Foot Bi-Fold Folding Table - MidWest Enterprises for the Blind, Kalamazoo
• Sky Trail - RCI Adventure Products, Allegan
• VibeTech 3 - Blitz Proto LLC, Farmington Hills

“Spanning from the Upper Peninsula to the southern reaches of the mitten, these nominees showcase the vast and varied talent within Michigan’s manufacturing sector,” said Delaney McKinley, MMA Executive Vice President of Operations. “Their ingenuity is driving our industry forward and shaping the future for us all.” 

MMA has once again teamed up with Endeavor IT for this year’s Coolest Thing Made in Michigan competition. Endeavor IT, the exclusive program sponsor, remains dedicated to the shared goal of celebrating the billions of innovative products that Michigan manufacturers continue to develop, making a remarkable impact on our state and the nation. 

MMA created the Coolest Thing Made in Michigan competition to shine a light on the champions of manufacturing, whose home-grown ingenuity has made this state the most diverse manufacturing center in the world. And, because these products impact more than just manufacturers, the Association is giving everyone in Michigan the opportunity to vote for their favorites. 

In Round 2, daily voting will decide the Top Three finalists. Cast your vote daily at micoolestthing.org to help select which products will advance. The winner of the Coolest Thing Made in Michigan will be announced live at the Manufacturing Excellence Awards on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024, in Lansing.
