Michigan Manufacturers Association Champion of New Member Development Hits the Ground Running

LANSING (May 10, 2023) — The Michigan Manufacturers Association (MMA), in its continuing role as the unifying champion of Michigan’s manufacturing industry, has announced the latest expansion of its team of highly talented professionals leading the charge. Elissa Olson has joined the organization in the role of Membership Development Manager.


Elissa’s grandmother, Verna Bowen (left), was an original Rosie the Riveter.

Elissa brings a wealth of membership growth and association experience, industry knowledge and passion for research, recruitment and retention to the MMA team. She has led cross-functional teams in government affairs, membership growth and business advisory councils, and served on action-oriented teams in non-profit, for-profit and academia. Elissa earned a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Northwood University, Richard DeVos Graduate School of Management, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Saginaw Valley State University.
